Friday Feast | A Cup of Hot Chocolate and a Pinch of Love
Greetings from Mary's Tavern! It's all about sinfully, delicious chocolate for the month of February. There's so much to celebrate this month, including my anniversary next Friday to my knight. We both love chocolate--from cakes, cookies (my knight is a cookie monster), pies, candy, and hot chocolate. Do I indulge every day? Aye! Yet with only one piece of dark chocolate. Psst, we won't discuss how much I consumed over the holidays, unless you're going to share the same with me.
The beautiful copper cocoa pot was a gift many years ago. It makes the best cup of hot chocolate. Since I'm anxiously awaiting the premiere of the series, Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip With Sam and Graham on Starz, I pulled out my Jamie and Claire mug yesterday. After all, I'm a romance author and believe in love.
The recipe below is one I've used for years, and I've tweaked it many times. Feel free to do the same. And what happens when I've run out of my stash of chocolate? I always keep a supply of Keurig Hot Cocoa pods. Gasp! I can't imagine not having some form of chocolate in my pantry!
Sláinte mhath!
