Holiday Musical Cheer ~ Joys of the Season Blog Hop

Music...it soothes, refreshes, inspires. I've often stated that "music is my muse." I cannot write without listening to some instrumental melody playing in the background. Once a tune starts, I'm gone.
Yet, it's always been this way for me. As far back as I can recall, I was singing, humming, or playing a song on an instrument. I played the flute in school, followed by the piano as an adult. Hark the Herald Angels Sing is among one of my favorites from childhood memories. I can vividly recall practicing this piece on my flute. Of course there were the school concerts--each hold a special place within my heart.
Music enriches my life and more so around the holidays. What better way to spread the joy than going Christmas caroling! It doesn't matter if you're not hitting those notes, since it's all about the music.
So sing your heart out, my friends. 'Tis the season to make merry!
